Dress Code

ELEMENTARY BOYS:

            Khaki(tan) or navy pants should be in the style of dress pants. No baggy side pockets are allowed. Belts must be worn if the design of the pants has belt loops. If there is just an elastic waist, belts are not required. Shirts should be the polo style (colored with 3-4 buttons) and may be plain or striped. High or low top sneakers with socks may be worn each day. Haircuts must be in good taste and neatly trimmed. It should be short enough that it does not touch the collar and the entire ear should be exposed and hair not combed back… No faddish cuts are allowed. Sideburns are permitted to the bottom of the inside of the ear. No necklaces, bracelets

 (Except medical), or gaudy rings are allowed.

 

ELEMENTARY GIRLS:

            Khaki (tan), navy, or plaid skirts or jumpers may be worn. The length of the skirt must be at least to the bottom of the knee. Polo shirts should be worn with the skirts and may be plain or striped. High or low top sneakers may be worn each day. Socks or tights must be worn at all times Footless tights need to go to the ankle so that the edges may be covered with socks. Nail polish is allowed but only in pale colors of the pinks or mauves. French tips are allowed.  No air brushed patterns or stick-ons are allowed. These sometimes cause distractions during the day.

 

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS:

            Khaki (tan) or navy pants in the style of dress pants must be worn. Shirts should be plain polo shirts. High or low top sneakers   may be worn except for chapel days. On chapel days, dress shoes plus a dress shirt and tie must be worn with the khaki or navy pants. Socks must be worn with all footwear. . Haircuts must be in good taste and neatly trimmed. It should be short enough that it does not touch the collar and the entire ear should be exposed. No faddish cuts are allowed. Sideburns are permitted to the bottom of the inside of the ear. No necklaces, earring, bracelets ( except medical), or gaudy rings are allowed. Tattoos are not allowed.

 

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS:

            Khaki (tan), navy, or plaid skirts must be worn that have a length at least to the bottom of the knee If you are able to sew, these may be made at home.  Plain polo shirts must be worn and buttoned so as not to be revealing.  On Chapel days, no sneakers are to be worn. Dress shoes that have no more than a 2” heel are allowed and must have backs on them. This height is for safety on the stairs. Socks, nylons, or peds must be worn with all footwear.  Hair styles must be in good taste. No wide streaks or abnormal highlighting. Nail polishes are allowed but please only use pale colors of the pinks and mauves. French tips are allowed. Fake nails may be worn as long as they follow the color suggestion and do not have brushed patterns on them. Earrings are allowed and you may have up to two per earlobe. No earlobe gauging is permitted. Tattoos are not allowed.

 

No cell phones are allowed during school hours. They must be turned off and left in their lockers or backpacks.

No outerwear should be worn in a classroom. Outerwear is determined by thickness of material or lining.
