Mission Statement

The heart of education is the education of the heart.  True education begins to take place when the students are consistently taught that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.  The goal of Tabernacle Christian School is to keep the hearts and minds of the students soft and sensitive to the things of God.  Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for our of it are the issues of life.”

Tabernacle Christian School began in 1976 as Heritage Christian School. The name was changed in 1979 to Tabernacle Christian School. The school closed down in 1992, but reā€‘opened in 1996.  Since reopening the school is growing and continues to minister to many children. Tabernacle Christian School is currently striving to provide a Christ-centered education for students in Southern New Hampshire and surrounding areas.

The deacons and pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church serve as the school board for Tabernacle Christian School.  No parent should go to the pastor or school board with a school matter before first meeting with the teacher and if not satisfied, taking the issue or concern to the principal. The Principal is in charge of the day-to-day operation of TCS.  The Principal is the primary decision-making authority in the school. He or she has the authority of the school board to administer discipline including the suspension and/or expulsion of students.

Church/School Relationship

TCS is a ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church.  The school is a part of the church and the pastors and school board are ultimately responsible for the school.  The principal, teachers and other staff are employed in a ministry of the church.  For more information about TBC visit www.tbclitchfield.org
